Lovely

Well I haven't posted for a while...but I was looking through my pictures and I couldn't resist posting these pictures. The cool thing is that we took all of the pictures! And I remember going! But I forgot all of the cool places that I'd been until I looked back at old pictures. Kay. Enjoy.

What a beautiful sunrise!
Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Aww! No front teeth! Just chillin on the swing in the front yard. I love that kid. I also miss the green grass and warm weather. I vote that the miserable cold weather takes an extended vacation.
You can always count on a daily pouring of rain in Colorado. Ben was a man and decided to stand in the hail/rain.
Trout Lake. near Delores, Colorado.

Funny story. So this is me and I went ziplining with friends in September. It was beyond description. This is the Spiderman stunt. You put your feet on your rope and let go with your hands. Obviously the harnesses worked or I would be dead. There is nothing like feeling the strain of your harness on your legs and shoulders while hanging and sliding 300 feet off the ground. That was awesome. Yeah okay its actually not really a funny story. I lied.

In Colorado at Circle K Ranch for a family reunion, we all went on a horse trail. The scariest part was going up steep inclines of mud. Since it rains every day in Colorado, there is always mud. While on my horse, I could feel her poor little hooves slipping and loosing traction in the mud. I am much more terrified of sliding down a slope on a horse than ziplining hands free.

On Jessica's birthday last year, we went out to eat. There were benches outside of the restaurant and we couldn't resist the urge to take pictures. These are the faces of winners.

This is what happens when you have fifty bajillion trees in your yard. Fun pile to play in, but a monster to put in bags. The pile was so big that we even found our cute little neighbor in it! Hahaha I love you Luke!

My gracious. I can't believe how much these little babies have grown up! I wish that they would stay this sweet forever. But no. Now they have opinions about everything and steal my Halloween candy.

What an arch. That is a pretty cool picture if you ask me. But my art teacher told my class last week, and I quote, "No one cares about your opinion." Why are art teachers always such characters? Same with hair cut people! They are definately very bold and have very...uh...different hair colors and styles. But I guess its better that everyone being the same. Artists give our world a little spice.

Hmmmm...Matthew is now a ninja who eats apples. Thought I'd let you know in case you were looking for a healthy ninja.

Ben is the funniest Ben that I know. Who else would volunteer to be a clown in a pie throwing game? That's right. No one but Ben.

A couple years ago we went on a hike in New York...i think...and we found this cabin. I think that we're all cuties and I curse the day we all grew up. Why can't we just be sweet and innocent forever?

Ben is just such an irresistable cutie.

Holy cow. This is my...uh...neighbor across the hall...She pays rent to me and that is how I get my income...yeah that's true. I love her! She's a little cutie!

Ben means business. He has his towel and is strutting his stuff like he rules the world. What a funny kid.

Epic. This is a sign of swim team. Messy hair and goggle marks on your forehead. The epitome of summer.

This is what happens when Ben says, "Hey Lauren! Will you let me see if you can carry me on your shoulders?" A funny disaster.

Look at those costumes! I guess some families just have serious skill.

Colorado is so beautiful. My bland descriptions do the real landscapes injustice.

September Birthday Buddies!

Flour wars at Girls Camp are the bomb. I love pictures that aren't posed. This one is just my Jacie and me laughing our heads off and smothering each other with flour bombs.

These are my girls. We went to a fall festival and we partied it pretty hard.

SISTER PICTURES! This here picture is also from the fall festival. The two crazy blondes aren't really sisters, but they like to pretend that they are.

I am not a "ME MONSTER", but I'm kinda ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THIS PICTURE...well okay maybe more than just a little bit...

Well I like this picture. I think that the belts are cool. BOTH of which belong to MOI!! hmm..wonder where wondergirl got that belt...hmm lets th-MY CLOSET!!!

Okay well that was fun. Now I have to go do the homework that I've been avoiding. Whoever invented homework deserves a punch in the gut.
Kay Bye!

Yuck.

This morning I woke up with two pink eyes.
Joy.
My eyes burn.

Today I walk in the door from being out.
Ben answers it.
He looks at me, gives me a look, and sinks back into the house in utter disgust.
Thanks Ben.
He won't come near me.
He treats me like I have the Plague.

Pioneer Trek!

This year for Youth Conference, our stake went on a pioneer trek! It was soooo much fun! Although it was terribly humid and we were all sweating a ton, it was so worth it. The trek really gave us an idea of the kinds of trials that the early Saints went through. Trekking made me really appreciate the sacrifice that the Saints made for the church. This was a special experience and I had a blast!

This is me french braiding Jacie's hair before we started walking. This is the cleanest I was the whole time. No sweat, no smell, no dirty. Just how I like it.

Kaitlyn and I were in the same family and we spent most of our time talking and driving our family crazy. We were the official supervisors of the pushing and pulling because we are slightly physically challenged...

Oh yumm. Look at that sweaty face of mine. I have a funny story about my bonnet. I wore it the first day of the trek and by the end of the day it was making my head too hot, so I just had the strings tied loosely around my neck. I went into the porta-potty do my buisness, and as I was leaving the little stall, I saw a purple lump in the bottom of the tank. Delicious. Much to my horror, my bonnet had come untied from my neck and had floated into the toilet as if it was okay. Because it was the first day of the trek, the tub of muck was not very full. Without thinking, I grabbed it out of the gross and held it with a leaf (that's what I'm doing in the picture). I brought it to my mom in utter disgust and begged her to clean it. I couldn't even look at it any more without crying. She cleaned it with lemon dish soap and all was well. By the end of the day, the entire camp had heard about my infamous bonnet tragedy. For the rest of the week, pretty much everyone I knew had cracked three or more jokes regarding the clealiness of my bonnet and the stench, etc. It smelled like lemons though...

Don't we look like we're deep in thought?

This is Kaitlyn, Brooke and me. A few days before the trek, Brooke sprained her ankle and ripped something in her foot at soccer training and so she walked the trek on crutches. The bruises on her foot were the same color as the bruises that she got on her armpits. Poor Brooke!

From left to right: Savannah, Amanda, McKayla, Kaitlyn, Courtnie, and Lizzy. Don't we look like legit pioneers?

We had a hoedown the first night! It was awesome! Our speaker system rocked the whole forest. We learned how to play the spoons. Then all the boys lined up on one side and the girls across from them and we danced the Virginia Reel! 16 times! The music was on loop and they probably made us dance to it for a full 20 minutes. We did some other line dances too. Such as the Boot Scootin' Boogie and Fishing in the Dark. We also had a dance with some slow songs. Someone brought glow sticks and they were so cool! Then a genius decided to break them open and splatter the glow juice over all of us. It was so awesome looking with little glowing polka dots all over until the juice got in my eye. It stung like no other. My eye was glowing. I'm just glad that the glass in the glow sticks didn't get in my eyes. That happened last year at girls camp and the girl had to go to the ER. Fun right?

This is Noah, Kaitlyn, Brooke, and me. During the trek we formed a Mormon gang. We are so hood in our pioneer get up. Don't you think?

GANG SIGN!
don't we look shady?
(We're all actually about to burst out laughing...)

This is my family! From left to right: Front: Kaitlyn, me. Back: Krislee, Sarah, Evan, Bianca, Connor, Michael, Hunter, Pa Ray, and Ma Ray. I'm the shortest! Yippee! But it is kinda on a slope, but I was still the shortest...

Well this is everyone! Look at how cute we are! This was on the last day before we hiked back to our cars. We all smelled so awful, especially the guys. I could hardly stand being next to them in this picture because they smelled putrid. You almost had to hold your breath.

Here is a real pioneer picture because it's sepia and we aren't smiling most of us aren't smiling.

Here's a link to all 885 pictures from the trek.
