Smoky Mountain Rapids(:

On Wednesday the Giacalones invited us, the Kahs, and the Graves to go up in the Smoky Mountains and raft down the river. We left and were miseralbly lost. The estimated time it took to get there was one hour, but we managed to drive an extra thirty minutes. We stopped four times and tried calling people at the river, but there was no cell service. So we talked to some guy at a shop. He told us that we passed it by three or four miles, but apparently in the smokies, three or four miles means eight. But we got there all the same. Except it wasn't rafting, there were only two tubes, so we just went down on our butts. I have lots of scratches and brusies. The rocks were really slippery, too, which didn't reduce the probablity of falling.

This is Kelsey, Noah, Kaitlyn, Amanda, half of Hannah, and Meee. When navigating the water, you have to do a sort of bear crawl. If you stand, you slip on a slimy, green rock hidden below the current. Falling is unavoidable. One more thing, there were minnows, big maneating sharks that were hungry, crawdads, and snakes. The sharks are a figment of my imagination, but they make my story all the more interesting. Noah got bitten by a snake. And that's all I got to say about that.
The drive home only took an hour. We listened to High School Musical 2, Hannah Montana, and the Michael Jackson. I am proud to announce that all of those CD's are mine. I was jammin out.

Swim Meet!

Hey. There was a swim meet on Tuesday night. It was uber fun but I didn't swim. I sat under an umbrella the whole time and talked to people. Why the umbrella? IT WAS POURING RAIN! Well..not the whole time, but when we got there, the sky was completely angry. About midmeet the rain started comin down! It was raining so hard, but they wouldn't let us go home or stop the meet because they are die-hard swimmers. Anyway, after the rain finally stopped, there was a double rainbow in the sky! It was amazing. Everyone was making fun of me for taking pictures of a rainbow. But a double rainbow means TWO years of good luck. Hence the word double. But then a ufo (airplane...close enough) flew through it and it ruined the moment.

GIRLS CAMP(:

From June 6 thru 9 I was at CAMP TANASI (pronounced tuh-na-sye, if you are saying it right it should sound ninja and you might have a strong urge to karate chop somebody.) Or if you want to say it boring, it's tan-aw-see. But it sounds like a horse having a seizure. Haha. Anyway it's a girl scout camp about an hour away. It has a swimming pool, a lake and all that other junk.
It was a lot of fun though. Tuesday we got up too early in my book and met at the church. (Dani came with!) We drove forever. Upon arriving, our arms were sore and bruised from the volkswagon punching. We punch hard. Or I do at least.
We unpacked our stuff and chilled, no MELTED!! Our cabin was pretty far away when you are carrying your trunk. Mine was especially heavy. Our cots were laid out on the ground in rows. Not the most comfortable thing in the world.
Then we went swimming. We had to take a swimming test to swim in the deep end. We had to tread water for 2 minutes and swim a lap to make sure we didnt drown or something. We couldnt run to dive or jump, no chicken fights either. I was afraid I wouldn't pass the test cause I've haven't been on a swim team all summer or anything.

They said lights out at 10:30, but i didnt even lay down till 2:30.

Wednesday we went on a HIGH ADVENTURE HIKE and LUNCH! here is how it went.

We went on an uber boring hike, stopping every 10 steps. We learned valuable info about how long a raccoon's tail is. And where do deer sleep? IN THE TREES!! -Lizzie Gibson(:

Then we went boating. The word "boating" sounds promising, but it isn't. Slippy and Mocha, the life guards, were strict and once we chose a canoe or paddle boat, we couldn't switch with someone else. We soon felt the blazing heat in our exhausting paddle boat. We enviously looked around and saw the luckies in the overturned canoes. My mom's canoe flipped. The paddle boaters also couldn't splash eachother or themselves.

There was a ghar in the water. I dont know how to spell it though. Legendary ghar hunters hunted it! Ooooh! A ghar is a large fanged fish. Iit sucks your blood out of you and if it gets close enough, it will eat your toes one by one. Hehehe. Actually all i know about this great fish is its name(:
Then we ate dinner and did our skits. Ours was UBER cute. We sang a mormon remix of Tik Tok. It goes something like this:

I wake up in the mornin feelin like Moroni,
got my scriptures I'm out the door,
I'm gonna hit the church,
before I leave,
brush my teeth with a bottle of Crest,
cause when I leave for the night I'm fo' sho' comin back,
I'm talkin' pedicures on our toes, toes,
trying on modest clothes, clothes,
moms takin away our phones, phones,
DROP TOP and,
playin my favorite CD's,
rollin up to the s.e.d.s,
tryin to get a little bit spiritual,
Don't stop!
Mormons rock!
church dance till nine'o'clock!
tonite! choose the right!
so I can see the light!

It was a lot of fun and a lot better than the original Ke$ha version, but knowing the original, it was really hard to change the words.
Thursday. Two words: Flour. Fight.(: For my camp award i got the flour power award, for creaming so many people with flour. We all looked like grannies with our white hair!

Much to my disapproval we played little sally walker. I. Hate. That. Game. It. Never. Ends. I got picked too, except when i got picked a few girl came and picked me up and dragged me to the middle of the circle. I was a good sport and played along. On my way to pick the next person, the grass was wet and I ran to dani, slipped and slid on my butt. It hurt.

Thursday our bishops came and ate with us. We got ice cream. It tasted so good. That night we had testimony meeting. I don't think there was a single dry eyed girl there. It was a really good experience.

Then we chilled in our cabin. Me, Dani, Brooke, Alyssa, Kelli, Lizzie, Kaitlyn, Jacie, and the roaches talked. Brooke and I were feeling fat from eating crap all week, so we invented an obstacle course around our cabin. It included high knees across the cots, circling the kitchen's island twice, running in the fourth year's room, heel clicking, spinning, going back to our archway, streamline jumping 10 times and kareokeing/grape vining across the cots to the starting point and standing above the fan and blowing our shirts up. We looked buff. We also sat on top of our cubbies and posed. I came to the realization that when you are taking the pix, you aren't ontop of the cubies. :(

That night there was a sign in our arch that said Second Years. Dani, being a gymnast, ninja kicked it and had perfect form. I tried. I kicked high enough, but missed the sign, so i tried again. The second attempt ended on my butt. WhenI kicked my foot slipped and I hit my head on the wall. It hurt so bad. I can't really walk and that night I had to sleep on my face because it hurt so bad to move. I think I fractured it. Ouch.
Friday morning we got up at 7:00 to pack our stuff and load it in the trucks before breakfast at 8:00. We ate in silence cause no one went to bed before 4:30 and everyone was uber hungry. We drove back to the church. Dani's dad picked us up and we went to TCBY for smoothies. Yumm! then i came home and threw everything in the washer, and took a looooong shower, and slept.

The fun made up for the missed sleep!
